North TEL: Hidden Impairment Awareness

The term 'Hidden impairments' means that you can't tell that someone has the condition from their outward appearance. It is estimated that around 10% of the UK population have ‘Hidden impairments’. For the purpose of this training programme the term ‘Hidden impairments’ is used to describe any of the following:-
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
• Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Dyspraxia
• Dyslexia
• Dyscalculia
• Speech and Language Impairments (SLI)
